How to close a race

Different type of athlete, but phenomenal nonetheless..

I don't care what kind of racing your into, coming from the back and closing the deal in that fashion is inspiring to watch. It's the new image in my brain for the term "dropping the hammer".

You see him start to make a move at 1:35 (look at the very back of the frame), and the next time you see him he's blowing through the leaders, and those are fast horses, like they're trotting - he's closed the deal by the time the announcer figures out who it is. After the initial race footage, skip the few minutes of watching the jockey and go to 7:31 for the best view of Mine That Birds finishing kick - it really is an amazing burst of speed.

That was like watching Robbie McEwan in his heyday. Nice video.
